Tom Brady....Greatest Of All Time????

Tom Brady has already thrown 27 touchdowns and only 2 interceptions in just seven games. At this pace, he's gonna obliterate Peyton Manning's two year old touchdown record, and probably put the single season touchdown mark completely out of reach. Barring injury, if he is successful, and with three Super Bowl rings already on his resume', will Tom Brady officially take his place as the greatest QB of the modern era?

Keep in mind, he won those three Super Bowls with receivers and running backs(except Corey Dillon) that the average sports fan can't even name.

Let's go!

Re: Tom Brady....Greatest Of All Time????

Nope because I still fuck with Peyton Manning over Tom Brady. And so far John Elway, Joe Montana, Dan Marino are my top 3 of all time. I can see Tom Brady surpassing Steve Young, Brett Favre (whom i have ranked over Tom Brady). But as of today? Nope. No hate, no dislike...this is the only year he has wow'ed me. He wow'ed me with clutch/$$$ passes in the postseason but for the most part I wasnt feeling him like a lot of people. This year he is really doing some things. I like Manning better because he can call/manage a game better than Tom Brady. Stronger arm and I just like his QB skills more than Brady.

My opinion could sway/change down the road but right now? I'm stuck on Manning. And I cant see Tom Brady ever being the greatest of all time unless he wins another 2 SBs at the least and tears down records along the way/at the end of his career. Is it possible? Eh yeah I'll give him that but it WONT be easy for me to say GOAT. He's gonna have to duplicate seasons like he has now.

What u thinkin over there Kalel?

Long time no see by the way. *dapz*

the numbers don't lie. he's got 3 rings and he's winning with a bunch of no names. for a long time he was the only star on that team.

he probably won't be fully appreciated until he retires.

Re: Tom Brady....Greatest Of All Time????

all those were very good, but that doesn't mean that tom brady couldn't possibly be the best.

have you ever seen anyone dissect a defense like he does? and he's always calm under pressure. save for his cheating (doing a hard count to find out where the pressure is going to come from and changing the blocking scheme) he does it without all peyton's improvisation, audibles and presnap motions and he always finds the hot zone in the d and exploits the mess out of it.

and again...all those were greats, but sorry to say. rings are everything

Not to take anything away from Brady, but Randy Moss can make you look real good. Throw it up and he'll get it.

Re: Tom Brady....Greatest Of All Time????

Even before Randy Moss Tom Brady was doing his thing RT..c'mon let's not try to take the from him. The duo together is fire but Brady wasn't a bump on a log before.

Now I love Brady and I think he is an amazing QB...I just think we need to give him a few more years and revisit this. Like D said he has always had the benefit of a great coach and system (team) BUT...he is a dynamic player...

*this is subjective anyways*

Re: Tom Brady....Greatest Of All Time????

I think RT is right. Outta those 27 td's...Moss snagged 10. Welker has 5, Ben Watson has 5. So Moss has double the td's of the next nearest eligible receivers. That says a lot. This Brady Jesus-worship is just blah.

Off topic: it's good to see things finally come together for Moss. Finally, a qb who can throw accurately, on time, AND has the protection from the O-line so he doesn't get clobbered. Randy just does the rest.

A beautiful thing to watch.

I agree that Moss is that player. But Brady is nothing to sneeze at and he had that respect before the Moss acquistion.
